Day 1 of 10 Day Section Hike on AT

- Drove 4hrs dropping 1 car off at end of planned hike and drove 1.5hrs @ 65mph by car to start point which will take us 50-75hrs @ 2-1.5mph I’ve 9 days to walk back. That’s a staggering thought.

- Started hiking at 2:30pm

- 20min into hike it started raining/snowing

- 20min later the sun came back out for the rest of the day

- Arrived at Toms Run Shelter at 4:40pm after 5miles

- Had left over subway sub for dinner

- Enjoyed a small fire for warmth

- Played a little Ukulele

- Had tea

- sleeping in shelter

- bed by 8pm

Repeat (well the hiking part) for 9 more days. Good times.
